Weather cancellations can ONLY be made by Captain Brian Clark. If your trip is canceled due to weather, you will be given the option to reschedule your trip and rollover your deposit or receive your deposit in full. Weather conditions such as rain is not cause to cancel a trip. Weather cancellations are extremely rare. I look at it this way, are our lives in danger? Or is it so bad that we don't stand a chance at catching fish.
If you choose to cancel your trip due to personal, work, financial or other issues including ALL COVID-19 complications (Except on our end) the deposit will be kept and the remaining additional funds are due to Captain Chaos Musky Guide Service depending on the situation and the amount of notification given. When it comes to canceling, it's all about the amount of notice I am given. My demand is high so as long as I have enough notice, canceling is not the end of the world.
If you cancel with more than 14 days of notice, you will have the choice to either have your deposit refunded or transferred to another date.
If you cancel 7-14 days, you are eligible for a 50% refund depending on my ability to reschedule that day. The other 50% of your deposit will be forfeited and will be used to cover my time needed to try to make all the calls, texts, and emails needed to hopefully find a replacement client.
If you cancel your trip within 7 days of your first scheduled day you are responsible for the full cost of the trip. If I am able to rebook the trip at full price we will refund half of your deposit as well as any additional funds you have put toward the trip.
Fishing is my occupation, it is not my hobby. Each cancellation will be treated on an individual basis. I have 175-200 days a year to make my annual earnings. It is necessary for me to work nearly every day of our limited season. Since I book up nearly 100% of my open dates, if you cancel last minute when we do not have the ability to refill the date, the date you left is now taking away essentially 1/175th of my yearly income. I can’t get that day back later in the year, it’s simply gone. For that reason, we request clients take their commitment seriously, especially once we get within 14 days of your trip. If you have scheduling issues or other concerns please let me know in enough time that we can refund or move your deposit and you are not docked anything.
